Jethro Tull Tribute
Since 1998, when not performing original blues and folk rock music, Derbyshire based Cold Flame have performed the music of international progressive rock group Jethro Tull in a special two hour plus tribute show highlighting the totally unique music of this legendary worldwide act. Over the years these tribute shows have evolved and developed resulting in the five piece band headlining indoor and outdoor shows and rock festivals across the UK as well as occasionally in mainland Europe including headline and guest performances at several Jethro Tull Fan Conventions in both Italy and Spain. As a result of such concert opportunities and exposure, the band have been featured on UK and European radio stations as well as receiving plaudits in national music magazines like 'Classic Rock' and 'A New Day'.
'Cold Flame perform the music of Jethro Tull' showcases both classic electric and acoustic Jethro Tull music highlighting songs from albums such as 'Stand Up', 'Aqualung' 'Thick as a Brick' and 'Songs from the Wood' alongside various lesser known gems from across the decades in a two hour plus show that highlights musicality, diversity, humour and uniqueness - traits that conjure up the very essence and appeal of Jethro Tull. The band continue to vary setlists year on year in ensuring that shows remain fresh and continue to include song and stage craft surprises complementing the extensive Jethro Tull back catalogue. This attention to detail comes from a determination to put on a show that will appeal to all fans of Jethro Tull as much as possible both from a musical and visual level.
Cold Flame have established links with several official ex members of Jethro Tull having supported two Tull off-shoot bands in the past - Blodwyn Pig and Wild Turkey as well as appearing on the same bill as Mick Abrahams, Clive Bunker, Martin Barre, Glenn Cornick and Dee Palmer whilst also performing with ex Tull ex musicians Paul Burgess, Gerry Conway as well as Tull guest musician and international violinist Anna Phoebe and Martin Barre's current bassist Alan Thompson.
In recent years, Cold Flame have maintained their tribute show status with rave reviews and positive support from audiences and critics alike. The band are currently regarded as the premier Jethro Tull tribute band in the UK. They continue to perform both electric and occasional acoustic Jethro Tull tribute shows across the country and remain open to touring in mainland Europe. Jethro Tull tribute shows have already been confirmed across the UK for 2025 with several additional concerts in the pipeline. The band are now also discussing further opportunities to perform the music of Jethro Tull for later in the year and already discussing plans to tour both in the UK and in Europe in 2026.
Cold Flame welcome all enquiries from promoters, festival organisers and venues as well as from the general public either from the UK or from mainland Europe regarding public or private booking enquiries.
