Hello again and welcome one and all.Following hot on the heels of the new Tull cd 'The Jethro Tull
Christmas Album' and the announcement of a UK Tull tour next February comes loads of good news re Cold Flame and
future plans.Rather fitting as we celebrate Nov.5th yet again.

As you may be aware from recent band events, we have been very very active in the last few weeks both
advertising extensively for a replacement for our ex frontman Peter and auditioning the results of these labours in our cosy rehearsal rooms.We are now pleased to announce that we have a new boy in our cultured and esteemed ranks.
With the emphasis on a Tull related style firmly etched in our collective thinking we have chosen
someone who combines visuality and stage presence with awesome musical prowess and experience especially on
the flute and whistles. Mesdammes et monsieurs,please please welcome Matlock based multi-instrumentalist Ben Daglish.Make sure you treat him nice,he is a big Tull fan citing 'Songs from the Wood' as his favourite album.Ben has previously
played with a number of renowned Derbyshire folk rock bands including 'Thee Na Shee' and 'Tomorrow's
Ancestor'.However,Ben has become more widely known musically in recent years for his involvement with
international folk punk band 'Loscoe State Opera'with whom he will continue to perform , making it ever more
interesting in diary date coordination re the two bands.Patrick is already on the case doing his mr.organiser bit to ensure things evolve smoothly.Youcan check out 'The Loscoes' on our links page. Whilst Ben busies himself in rehearsal fervour, the
band have decided to flex musical muscles in a short batch of jolly rocking blues gigs during November and
early December where we will be joined by the ever faithful and cuddly original lead guitarist David Conner [He may now live in Leicester but he just can't keep away]. We will also be slotting in some TULL tribute shows featuring Ben during December.Expect to see the very keen and enthusiastic 'Flame' road crew out and about at these gigs as well.Make sure to check out the gig guide for dates - more are to be added soon.Details to follow.

The eagerly awaited new studio album from Cold Flame is now set to be released on Monday Nov.10th to accompany these gigs.Entitled 'The Seven Seas' the sixteen track cd was recorded over a nine monthperiod at Shipwreck Studios in Glossop and once again engineered by resident boffin and technician Paul Walster.Our good friend and local artist Julian Homer has been involved yet again in the cover artwork.All the tracks, as previously mentioned, are brand new original songs mostly written by Patrick and feature the band line up as it has been and sounded for the last two years.Celtic folk merges with hard edged rock
numbers and the blues is never that far away.There are guest performances as well from Halle Orchestra violinist Dara de Cogan who lives in Simmondley and Glossop trombone legend Gerald Bostock.You can place an order through the website[check out the band shop]email the band or turn up at one of our up and coming gigs.Don't forget to bring loads of wonga as we always carry loads of merchandise in Simon's butty box.

We have had some recent technical problems with the message board.This is being rectified and will be back on line very soon with an additional facility to enable us to trace anyone who chooses to misuse the board ,not that anyone would of course.There will soon be an opportunity on the board to comment on the new album as we really value your constructive opinions.

A very big thank you goes out from the band both to our many fans and friends but also to landlords and promoters throughout the north west who have shown great understanding and given much moral support at a difficult time during the last six weeks.The band would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the musicians who have answered our ads and shown such
enthusiasm for Cold Flame.If it wasn't for you guys,it really would be pointless.See you on the ice very soon.
