NEW STUDIO ALBUM RELEASED - JULY 1ST!!!!
Following recent work at Shipwreck Studios in Glossop, Cold Flame are set to release an all new 13 track studio album on Saturday July 1st. Entitled STILL BURNING THE BLUES VOL.2 , this album is a brand new compilation of previously unreleased original tunes and new recordings of older Flame material. This material has been recorded over the last four years and mastered collectively at Shipwreck Studios in Glossop with the help of trusty sound engineer Paul Walster during the last six weeks. Featuring the current Cold Flame line up together with our occasional guitarist Simon Dowling, violin wizard Paul Newland of CFA fame and guest appearances from two familiar chaps - drummer Keith Bonthrone as well as flambuoyant flautist/ singer Ben Daglish. Musically whilst several musical genres are covered, the material is mainly electric blues and acoustic folk rock in style. As with all previous Flame album releases, the cover has been designed by local artist Julian Homer. A more detailed account on the new album can be found in the Albums section of the band website. Meanwhile the first 100 copies of the new album will come complete with a special incentive to Flame and Jethro Tull fans alike in the form of some interesting studio and live bonus material. You can get hold of the album through the website shop, at all Flame gigs or by emailing info@cold-flame.co.uk All live dates during July will be used to promote the new album as well.
